The Painterly Handsomes are Troy Allen, Chris Holloway, Cody Scrogum and Frederick Tabares. Rhymes With Orange will feature this collective’s first major collaborative work composed directly on the gallery walls during the weeks before the exhibition, as well as new paintings and installations. Founded in the spring of 2006, the Painterly Handsomes have come together to develop ideas in popular culture, current events, classic portraiture, urban art and postmodern concepts. Though the four individual artists have differences in their own disciplines, they have dedicated the past year to visually exploring these stimuli individually and having some serious fun along the way.
