For the Love of Children
Saturday, October 20 from 2-6 pm
Art extravaganza and auction benefitting orphanages in Bangladesh
Come join us for the Choices For Children Art Show and Silent Auction. This family-friendly event features:
- Original artwork by artists of all ages, including paintings, mosaics, batiks, ceramics, prayer flags, hand-crafted jewelry and quilts.
- Beautiful handicrafts from Bangladesh and gift baskets from local businesses.
- Musical entertainment Libby Kirkpatrick, Sue Young, Laura Freeman, youth performances, and Bangladeshi song and dance.
- Kid-friendly activities include henna tattoos, face painting and storytelling.
- Free refreshments offered by Sweet Leaf Tea, Great Harvest Breads and other treats.
Choices for Children is part of For Kids’ Sake, a fundraising campaign of Dayemi Tariqat to support orphanages and schools in Bangladesh. It’s possible to really make a difference because money goes so far in Bangladesh. Only 71 cents a day will take care of a Bengali child’s fundamental needs like food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education and a safe environment.
